Douglas Spotted Eagle

Aside from meeting great instructors such as Yossey Tessone, Richard Harrington, and Trish Meyer, many of the rebels got to hang out with Douglas Spotted Eagle. Doug is not only a world-class musician and audio producer, his company VASST makes some of the best DVD training on audio, lighting, Photoshop, etc. He's pictured here with Sean "Squelch" Connor, Adam "Cutter" Speas, and Jared "Shooter" Bargiel. Hopefully, Doug will come give a lecture at Grady sometime in the Spring of 2008.

NYC 2007

Welcome to our first day in NYC after I made everyone drag their luggage from Grand Central Station to the Holiday Inn on 57th Street.

The NY Post Production Conference is one of my favorite events, and I am glad that Dr. Joe Dominick and Dean Cully Clark fully supported this effort. The conference spans three days and deals with basic to advanced topics on Final Cut Pro, Avid, After Effects, Field Production, etc. We even ended-up with FREE swag and prizes that included a Final Draft System (Adam Speas), a big ol' camera bag from KATA (Paul Smith), $400 in FX Plug-ins for FCP (Jessica Diggelmann), two KB keyboard covers (Me and Jae Park), a $500 package of DVD's from VASST (Sean "Squelch" Connor), and an Avid Express System...the cool one with Boris Effects attached...(Nick Holtzclaw).

If you're interested in attending the trip next year (in the Fall), Professor Biddle will have a meeting at Grady in January. Check the blogsite for more information.

Welcome to the TeleArts DV Rebellion

What's going on in TeleArts at Grady College? More than you know about! The NYC Trip! Jennifer Smith making films!

This blog is dedicated exciting things that only end up as discussions in the hallway. As this blog grows, expect advice articles from professionals, Avid and Final Cut tips, shooting tips, location ideas, and postings for what your fellow students are doing. Send me what you have, and expect to see it on here!
